AZUCAR CUBAN CUISINE
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Can I substitute items on the party menus?
The only concession we make regarding the party menus is if you would like to add the chicken option to party menu #3. We can do this for an additional $5 per person.
2. I am celebrating a birthday. Can we bring our own cake?
For birthdays, we can put a candle in your dessert (its included with the party menus). If you still want to bring your own cake, there is a cake plating fee of $2 per person. This will be served in addition to the dessert that is included with the party menus.
3. Can you plan a party menu that includes beverages?
No, our party menus do not include any beverages. We can run a separate tab for beverages in case you want to keep track of the costs or simply have your guests walk over to the bar to purchase alcoholic beverages there. We do offer free refills on sodas.
4. Why do you need a guaranteed number of guests?
We purchase food for each party individually based on the number of guests. If we are told its a party of 25 and only 20 show up, we had to purchase food for 25 so you are responsible for paying for 25.
5. Can we provide our own music via a DJ or band?
Our private party space is right next to the main dining room and as such would disturb our dining patrons. We have music playing at all times throughout the restaurant.
6. Can we smoke cigars during our party?
NJ law dictates that we are only allowed to have smoking in the cigar lounge of the restaurant. If you would like to smoke, we recommend you wait until your meal is over then move your guests upstairs to our cigar lounge so you can enjoy your cigars in an appropriate environment.
7. There are a few small children in our party. Do they pay the full party menu prices? We are able to make a special meal for children under the age of 12 consisting of masitas de Pollo with french fries for $11 per child. Please make sure we know how many children will be in your party when you make your reservation.
8. How many people does your party room accommodate?
Our party room can comfortably hold up to 35 people for a sit down dinner. Occasionally we host cocktail parties that can hold up to 50 people.
9. I am interested in hosting a cocktail party. How do I go about doing this?
Take a look at the tapas menu on our website and pick the foods you would like to serve or simply call us for some recommendations. Once we pick the menu, we need a guaranteed number of guests to calculate costs. All foods are served buffet style for your guests to pick from. /span>
